Our Reviews

Beth has watched all 4 of my children from birth through their teenage years. This includes my twin daughters. She has always kept them active and safe. They absolutely love when she watches them and are delighted to see her. -Sarah Bailey

Beth has been amazing with our almost 3 year old. She is patient, kind and works with children through their strengths and weaknesses. Our daughter absolutely loves going to "Miss Beth's School" and comes home as happy as can be singing her favorite songs from the day!  -Erin Fasano

Beth has been a great addition to our circle of caregivers. We have had difficulty with caregivers in the past but our daughter walked right into Beth's and has enjoyed herself in every sense. Beth is great at providing activities and outside time, especially in the summer. We have enjoyed our time at Beth's Daycare and our happy that we found her!   -Sara Fernandes

Beth's Daycare caters to each individual child. Children learn a multitude of skills needed to function in the world and at school. We tend to the social emotional well-being of the children before anything else. We work on talking about our feeling and why we feel that way. How to keep personal space and keep our hands to ourselves. How to be kind to everyone, and how treat each other with respect. We especially work on taking turns with different toys and materials. We just try to have fun while learning how to interact with our peers.

This is a Daycare that has a preschool tendency and can also be compared to a nature preschool considering the amount of time we spend outside. Here a child is allowed to explore the natural world at their own pace. We get messy because messes happen, and you can always clean them up. Children enjoy playing in sand, in mud, in snow, and in rain. We splash in puddles and jump in leaf piles. Cook meals in our mud kitchen and fish in our water table. We learn to follow rules by playing games like baseball and ring around the rosie. In the summer we use the sprinkler and slip and slide. we enjoy watermelon and popsicles on our fun Fridays.

We follow a preschool curriculum that is individualized to focus on what each child needs. We work on colors, numbers, shapes and sorting. We have a letter of the week and number of the month. Each week has a book and theme. Children learn best through play, so circle is very interactive for each child. Children pick the day, weather and place them on the wall. We learn to recognize our names and then spell the using letter magnets on a white board before moving on to writing them. We sing and dance to the songs the children pick, and everyone gets a turn. We make hundreds of different types of crafts or projects. Busy children do not have the time to act out so we are always doing something here!

At Beth's Daycare children really can be in charge of their day and still be a kid!

Ready for School

About Me

Hello! My name is Beth. I started watching children at the ripe old age of 13. I took a babysitting course and began babysitting younger cousins and some neighborhood kids.

Flash forward to my adult years, and I began working as a Paraprofessional in the public school system. I worked in many classrooms as a para from kindergarten up to high school. I worked in non-verbal autism rooms, with main-streamed children on the spectrum, students with ADD or ADHD, and regular education students. I spent the summers as the Arts and Crafts Director for Camp Fun City run by the YMCA of Greater Springfield. I managed about 30-40 kids from kindergarten up to eighth grade for for a 3 hour activity period. We did many projects during this time including tye-dye and paper mâché

While working as a Paraprofessional, I earned my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. I then went to earn my Bachelor's in Biology. I worked for a few private daycares right out of college as teaching jobs were hard to come by at the time. I also was the Counselor in Training Director and the arts and crafts person for SPEC Ponds summer camp in Wilbraham, Ma. Here I taught middle school children how to work with elementary school children in a summer camp setting. I also worked the after school program at the Boys and Girls club in Ludlow MA.  I began teaching 7th and 8th grade middle school science in 2013. All together I have been working with children in a formal setting since I was 17 years old. That is 20 years of experience  in a formal setting.

After having my first child and the changes that occurred in the educational system after covid, I decided I needed to change careers. I wanted to be home with my son so, I started a home daycare out of my house. In May of 2022, Beth's Daycare opened its doors to its first students.
